Re-discovered
a love for elementary school students while working as a Health Educator specializing in drug prevention
While working with elementary school students, Doria
became aware of the need for bullying prevention programs. When her husband's job transfer moved
them to Elgin, IL, she pursued her passion to help kids by developing "Bully Smarts," an entertaining,
practical, hands-on program that employs best practices and is aligned with the Illinois State Learning
Standards. Doria often weaves puppetry into her presentations. Currently,
she has a collection of over 100 puppets.
